La Bachata s'appuie sur un pas de base à quatre temps, avec un accent marqué au quatrième (le « tap » de hanche).
Sans cours d'ouverture, la soirée bascule tout de suite dans le style du DJ : la Bachata dominicaine reste au sol, rapide et joueuse, tandis que la sensuelle travaille les ondulations du buste et les blocages. L'usage veut qu'on adapte l'amplitude des mouvements à la place disponible et au confort du partenaire, jamais l'inverse.
La Kizomba se danse en couple, très proche, sur des appuis lents, où la connexion compte plus que les figures.
Sans cours préalable, la piste démarre directement en danse libre : mieux vaut avoir déjà la marche de base et savoir suivre le tempo lent de la Kizomba. Les danseurs venus de l'Urban Kiz ou du Tarraxo y ajoutent un vocabulaire plus saccadé, avec pauses marquées et déplacements au sol ; les deux univers cohabitent, et l'on propose une danse plutôt qu'on ne l'impose.

Let your spine dance, discover the pleasure of unlocking snake like movements that add some sweet slithering bliss that articulates the magic that branches out from spine. Your movements like the pathways of the nervous system direct channels of fluidity into the partner dance. Bliss is a lifelong dancer and her teachings stem from 25+ years of anatomical knowledge as a massage therapists as well as her deep studies of bellydance which came in deep undulating usefulness in her studies of Zouk.
