La Kizomba se danse en couple, très proche, sur des appuis lents, où la connexion compte plus que les figures.

Quand un cours précède le social, l'entrée dans la danse est nettement plus douce : on y voit la posture, le transfert de poids et la marche de base, soit exactement ce qui manque le plus aux débutants une fois la piste pleine. Les danseurs confirmés en profitent souvent pour réviser un détail technique avant que le niveau sonore ne monte.

Un temps d'initiation étant annoncé, un danseur qui débute peut venir dès l'ouverture et enchaîner sur le social.

À propos de la soirée

We are thrilled to invite you to Ljubljana for an urbankiz bootcamp The Art of Flow, Technique & Creativity in UrbanKiz (by John & Lea): 24.10.2026.

During the bootcamp, John & Lea will take you through the concepts and frameworks they use to create flow and creativity in UrbanKiz. We will look at how leading, following, structure, music and connection help us understand each other better in movement, creating more freedom to play, explore and express.

John & Lea are UrbanKiz teachers based in the Netherlands, known for their high-level technicality, creativity and smoothness. Their teaching is detailed, personalised and focused on helping dancers go beyond simply learning choreographed moves. They believe that confident and creative dancing starts with connection — with yourself, your partner and the music.

This event is intended for intermediate UrbanKiz dancers.

In the evening, we'll continue dancing with a pre-party workshop by John & Lea and an UrbanKiz party:

⭐ Pre-party workshop topic: Exploring Technical Elements

In this one-hour workshop, John & Lea will break down how different techniques work and come together. We will explore the mechanics behind technical steps in more detail: the input and response in leading and following, the body mechanics involved and the skills each movement requires.

Once you understand the foundation of a move, you have much more freedom to play with it and explore different possibilities.
